A Smiths spokesperson didn't address requests for more information regarding the breach from BleepingComputer earlier today. Last week, American business services firm and government contractor Conduent also revealed that a recent outage was caused by a "cyber security incident." This came days after Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced that it was investigating claims of a new breach after a threat actor claimed they stole documents from the company's developer environments. One week earlier, U.K. domain registry Nominet confirmed that its network was breached in early January using an Ivanti VPN zero-day vulnerability. This vulnerability was also exploited in attacks linked to a suspected China-linked espionage group tracked as UNC5337.
